Unauthorized custom table creation via forged request
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
CSRF in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to create custom database tables through a crafted /admin/form/save request. The endpoint accepts attacker-controlled name, tableName, and code fields in a POST and processes the state-changing operation without a CSRF token or origin check. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content, after which the request can alter the CMS database structure under that session's authority.
