Credential disclosure via plaintext connection-test packets
Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025
Information exposure in Kyocera Command Center RX on ECOSYS M5521cdn allows remote attackers to read stored credentials from network traffic. An address-book SMB or FTP connection test transmits the saved password in plaintext packets instead of protecting the credential. Exploitation requires a user to run the test and an attacker to inspect the resulting traffic; the disclosed data is limited to the tested destination's saved password.
