Process crash via decToString heap-buffer overflow

A heap-buffer overflow in jq 1.7-37-g88f01a7 allows attackers to crash the process via crafted normalized scientific input. The decToString routine serializes an extreme negative exponent into a 16-byte heap buffer and writes one byte immediately beyond its allocation. Processing the supplied decimal expression triggers the write; the public reproducer demonstrates denial of service, not code execution.
