Predictable temporary files in Ubuntu Budgie Budgie Extras before 1.7.1 allow local users to manipulate or crash the Dropby applet. The checkonwin, dropover, budgie_dropby.py, and copy_flash components use predictable user-named files under world-writable /tmp as timer and IPC triggers without ownership isolation. Another local account can pre-create the paths to force or suppress Dropby dialogs, keep block-device scanning busy, or crash the Budgie panel with a FIFO.
