Denial of service in WithSecure endpoint protection products allows remote attackers to hang the scanner by submitting a crafted file. WithSecure has not disclosed the affected scanner component; processing the malformed file consumes excessive scan time until the engine stops responding. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is interruption of malware scanning rather than data access or modification.
