Authenticated SQL injection via unchecked filter fields
Published Sep 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
SQL injection in InstantCMS 2 before 2.16.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through advanced grid filters. The datagrid filter path passes attacker-selected field names into cmsModel database predicates without verifying that the named columns exist. Administrative access is required; successful injection permits reading or altering application data and interrupting service.
