Service interruption via unauthenticated IP configuration change
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Improper input validation in Siemens SIMATIC CN 4100 before 2.7 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via IP configuration changes. The IP configuration function applies attacker-supplied network settings without authenticating the requester; Siemens has not identified the request path or parameter. Network reachability is sufficient, and changing the device's address can make the communication node unavailable without reported data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
