Authenticated file disclosure via reflected external entities
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
XML external entity injection in Stilog Visual Planning before build 240207 allows remote authenticated users to read server files. The server's XML parser resolves an external entity placed in a GetApplicationProperty request's defaultValue element, then reflects the resolved file contents in the response value element. A valid application session and access to the compressed XML-over-HTTP protocol are required; readable secrets can also be exfiltrated through outbound HTTPS requests.
