Command injection in openssl npm through 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute commands via an opts argument over the network. The package accepts an opts object whose verb field is used directly for command execution, allowing attacker-controlled command content to reach the operating-system command path. Exploitation depends on an application exposing this package call to untrusted network input; the maintainer no longer supports affected releases.
