Service interruption via pulsed DNS amplification

Network amplification in Technitium DNS Server 11.5.3 allows remote attackers to interrupt services with pulsed DNS traffic. Its recursive resolver aggregates low-rate queries during upstream delays, then fast-returns the accumulated large responses as a concentrated burst toward a target. Unauthenticated network access to the resolver is sufficient; the burst can exhaust target bandwidth and cause packet loss or service degradation.
