Author-level stored XSS via unescaped folder name
Published Dec 15, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in dFactory Responsive Lightbox & Gallery 2.4.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a folder name. Media-folder name handling stores the name parameter without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, causing the saved value to be emitted as executable page markup. Author-level access is required, and execution occurs when another user visits a page containing the injected output.
