CVE-2023-49155Network attack vector

Button counter reset via missing nonce validation

Published Dec 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Wow-Company Button Generator 2.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset button counters. The btg_count() function processes the counter-reset request without validating a WordPress nonce, so a forged request changes stored counter data. Exploitation requires an administrator to interact with an attacker-controlled link or page; the documented consequence is limited to counter reset.
