Authenticated session script execution via evaluated URL parameters
Published Nov 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
DOM-based XSS in Apache NiFi 0.7.0 through 1.23.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted URL. The Jolt Transform custom UI controller passes the disconnectedNodeAcknowledged and editable URL parameters to JavaScript eval() instead of comparing their string values. Exploitation requires permission to configure a JoltTransformJSON Processor and a victim with that access to open the URL; code runs in that victim's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
