Improper isolation in the stream cache of some Intel processors allows local users to escalate privileges on affected systems. Intel identifies inadequate isolation in the processor stream-cache mechanism but has not disclosed the cache operation or boundary that fails. Exploitation requires authenticated local access and additional execution conditions; successful use raises the user's privileges beyond the original security boundary.
