CVE-2023-49132

Code execution via uninitialized pointer access

Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Uninitialized pointer access in Siemens Solid Edge SE2023 before V223.0 Update 10 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted PAR file. The PAR-file parser accesses an uninitialized pointer while processing attacker-controlled file content, causing unsafe memory use in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file and can execute code with that user's process privileges or crash the application.
