Stored script execution via unsafe img tags
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Stored XSS in GROWI before 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser through img tags. The Markdown page renderer preserves executable content in stored img-tag markup instead of neutralizing it before display. An attacker needs page-editing access and a user must view the crafted page, exposing that user's page data or actions to the script.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
