Stored script execution through management-screen XSS
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in the PowerCMS management screen allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a logged-in user’s browser. Alfasado identifies the management screen as the affected locus but has not disclosed which field stores unsanitized input or which rendering path outputs it. A low-privileged account must store content and another logged-in user must view the affected screen, enabling script execution in that user’s session; affected releases are 6.31 and earlier, 5.24 and earlier, and 4.54 and earlier.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
