Heap buffer overflow in GNU C Library 2.34 through 2.38 allows local users to execute code as root through SUID programs. ld.so's parse_tunables() fails to advance its input pointer after a name=value pair without a colon, then appends the value again beyond the duplicated GLIBC_TUNABLES buffer. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a SUID-root binary, and successful corruption makes the loader trust an attacker-controlled library path.
