Admin impersonation via crafted certificate-usage link
Published Feb 8, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Axigen WebAdmin allows remote attackers to steal an administrator session cookie through a crafted link. The SSL-certificate usage-view logic fails to neutralize attacker-controlled link data before returning it for execution in the administrator's browser. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the link while a valid admin session is active, after which injected JavaScript can access WebAdmin as that administrator.
