Unauthorized access via unrevoked JWTs
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
Insufficient session expiration in Beyond Cloud ltd. Cosmos Server before 0.13.1 allows remote attackers to access protected resources. UserRegister writes PassowrdCycle instead of PasswordCycle, so the token-revocation counter is not advanced and existing JWTs remain accepted. Exploitation requires possession of a previously issued JWT and a victim password change or logout, after which protected data can be read, modified, or deleted.
