Victim account takeover via unsafe tooltip rendering
Published Dec 22, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026
Stored XSS in The Cacti Group Cacti 1.2.25 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a viewer's browser. The data_debug.php path places an encoded data-source path in a title property that Cacti passes unchanged to jQuery UI, whose tooltip inserts it with html(). The attacker needs Sites, Devices, and Data administration permissions, and execution occurs when a permitted viewer opens the poisoned source and hovers over its path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
