CVE-2023-49058Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via path traversal

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Path traversal in SAP Master Data Governance File Upload allows remote authenticated users to read files via crafted path input. The upload path validation passes parent-directory sequences through to file APIs instead of rejecting or normalizing them. A low-privileged account and a high-complexity request are required, and the documented consequence is limited to confidentiality.
