Remote code execution via oversized devName parameter
Published Nov 27, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AX1803 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted devName parameter. The formAddMacfilterRule handler at /goform/setBlackRule processes an oversized devName value as stack data, and the published request crashes the router. NVD assesses that no privileges are required, but the published request includes a password cookie; the demonstrated consequence is a router crash.
