Unauthenticated memory corruption via httpd stack overflow
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in NETGEAR Orbi RBR750 firmware before 7.2.6.21 allows remote attackers to corrupt httpd process memory. The flaw resides in /usr/sbin/httpd, where a crafted network request overruns a stack buffer; public records do not identify the request field or unsafe copy operation. The network-reachable path requires no authentication or user interaction, and successful exploitation crashes httpd or permits arbitrary code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
