Unauthorized call initiation via exported Android activity
Published Dec 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Incorrect access control in Xenom Technologies Phone Dialer-voice Call Dialer 1.2.5 allows attackers to initiate unauthorized phone calls. The exported com.funprime.calldialer.ui.activities.OutgoingActivity accepts external ACTION_CALL intents and places the supplied call without access checks or consent. A malicious Android application needs no declared permission or user interaction, while ADB exploitation requires device access and USB debugging; successful abuse can incur call charges or expose called-number activity.
