Stack overflow in OpenLink Virtuoso Open Source 7.2.11 allows remote attackers to crash the database server with crafted SQL statements. The SQL execution path mishandles a supplied CREATE, INSERT, and UPDATE sequence, writes outside a stack buffer, and triggers stack-smashing protection. The public reproduction uses an authenticated isql session, although the published CVSS assessment treats exploitation as unauthenticated over a network.
