Arbitrary-site redirects via unvalidated path parameter
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated May 27, 2025
Open redirect in Franklin Fueling Systems System Sentinel AnyWare 1.6.24.492 allows remote attackers to send users to arbitrary sites. The prefs.asp resource accepts an attacker-controlled path parameter and uses it as the destination when the victim selects Cancel, without restricting the target site. Neither party needs authentication, but the victim must open the crafted URL and select Cancel; the resulting redirect can support phishing.
