Administrator-triggered script execution via unneutralized property name
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in the Document Properties field in EyouCMS 1.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The changeTableVal administrative action accepts and stores an HTML event-handler payload in the flag_name value without neutralizing it before rendering. Administrator access is required to submit the payload, and execution occurs when an administrator opens an article for editing; the reported impact is limited to browser-side script or HTML execution.
