Authenticated configuration disclosure via execute_mode access bypass
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect access control in Reportico PHP Report Designer 8.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read restricted configuration data. The run.php request handler trusts the user-controlled execute_mode value, allowing a low-privilege session to change PREPARE to MAINTAIN and render the administrator-only configuration page. A low-privilege account and valid report session are required; exposure includes SQL queries and critical system settings, with no demonstrated write access.
