CVE-2023-4886

Credential disclosure via world-readable Tomcat configuration

Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026

Sensitive information exposure in Tomcat configuration in Red Hat Satellite 6.13 and 6.14 allows local users to read Candlepin passwords. The installation leaves /etc/tomcat/server.xml world-readable even though it embeds keystore and truststore passwords. Local access is required, and store permissions restrict practical use of the disclosed credentials to highly privileged users.
