Stored script execution via unescaped page metadata
Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in BoidCMS 2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via crafted page metadata. The page=create action stores title, subtitle, footer, and keywords values without neutralizing active HTML or script content before rendering. Low-privileged access is required to save a payload, and another user must view the affected content, exposing browser-session data and page actions.
