Unauthenticated command execution via unneutralized web fields
Published Nov 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK X6000R firmware 9.4.0cu.852_B20230719 allows remote attackers to execute commands through its web interface. The shttpd sub_4119A0 function accepts front-end fields through Uci_Set_Str and passes them to CsteSystem without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control over firmware-hosted OS operations.
