Traffic interception via improper peer certificate validation
Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Improper certificate validation in Fortinet FortiNAC-F 7.2.0 through 7.2.4 allows remote attackers to intercept FortiOS HTTPS traffic. Fortinet has not disclosed which certificate checks the HTTPS client omits during communications with FortiOS devices and inventories. No FortiNAC credentials are required, but exploitation requires control of the network path and allows remote attackers to read or modify exchanged traffic.
