CVE-2023-48728Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unsanitized videoName output

Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Reflected XSS in WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev master commit 3c6bb3ff allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through videoName. The objects/functiongetOpenGraph.php endpoint writes the unsanitized videoName query value into an HTML comment, enabling comment termination and script injection. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a user to open the crafted URL; script execution occurs in that user's browser and can compromise an administrator session.
