Improper authentication in Robots & Pencils go-saml allows remote attackers to forge accepted SAML assertions using self-signed tokens. The private verify function in xmlsec.go invokes xmlsec1 without restricting enabled key data, so XML-embedded attacker keys are trusted during validation. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass SAML responses or requests through Validate or a signature-verification path, granting the identity encoded in the forged assertion.
