CVE-2023-48700Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via Celery task argument logging

Published Nov 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cleartext credential exposure in Nautobot Device Onboarding 2.0.0 through 2.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to read device credentials. Creating an OnboardingTask with explicit credentials passes them as Celery task arguments that the Job Results Additional Data view stores and displays. The affected path requires a user who can create the task and another user able to view its results; configuration-supplied NAPALM credentials are not exposed.
