Remote code execution via IGMP assembly overwrite
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before 6.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted IGMP traffic. The IGMP packet-processing path mishandles data produced by IP packet assembly and writes beyond its intended buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the target must integrate the affected IGMP component and receive attacker-controlled network packets.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
