Script execution via unfiltered Galaxy parameters
Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in MISP before 2.4.176 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through crafted Galaxy parameters. AppController.php's _harvestParameters method merged arbitrary request-body keys into parsed data instead of limiting input to each action's paramArray. A targeted user must open the crafted Galaxy request; injected script runs in that user's MISP origin and can act with the user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
