Database disclosure via unvalidated filter keys
Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in AppModel.php in MISP before 2.4.176 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via crafted filter keys. The generic_add_filter method inserts unvalidated keys from request POST-body filters into CakePHP query-condition field names, enabling time-based SQL injection. Administrative access to a reachable Logs index endpoint is required, and successful exploitation exposes database contents such as password hashes and API keys.
