CVE-2023-48656Network attack vector

Database disclosure via unescaped order parameter

Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Blind SQL injection in MISP before 2.4.176 allows remote authenticated users to extract database contents through a crafted order parameter. AppModel::find passed order clauses into database queries without validating or escaping attacker-controlled strings; the patch adds an allowlist validator before invoking the parent query method. Low-privileged access to an affected application area is required, after which password hashes, API keys, and other database records can be read.
