Sensitive memory disclosure via malformed AEP parsing
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 24.0.3 and earlier and 23.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory via an AEP file. The AEP parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file or visit a malicious page; disclosure can help bypass ASLR and support a separate code-execution chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
