Code execution via malicious file opening
Published Dec 13, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Sampler 4.2.1 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or memory-boundary error that permits the write beyond an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted file, after which code runs with the victim's current-user privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
