Stored XSS via unescaped CSV filename setting

Published Nov 6, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025

Stored XSS in Ryo Inoue Simple Table Manager 1.5.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via CSV filenames. The Export CSV settings path stores a crafted CSV filename without sanitizing or escaping it and later inserts the value into the settings page. Administrator privileges are required to save the payload, and execution occurs when an administrator revisits the settings, exposing that browser session to script actions.
