Authenticated SQL injection via optimizeTables parameter
Published Sep 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in IBOS 4.5.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute stacked SQL through the database optimization interface. The actionOptimize method passes optimizeTables[] request values to Database::optimize, where they enter SQL executed without neutralization. Access to the background management database tool is required; successful queries can read or alter database data and interrupt service.
