Stored script execution via vulnerable form fields
Published Dec 15, 2023 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Stored XSS in Adobe Experience Manager 6.5.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. A low-privileged user can persist malicious JavaScript in vulnerable form fields, which AEM renders without adequate neutralization when a victim opens the containing page. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and victim interaction; the script runs in the page's browser context and can affect data visible or writable there.
