Authenticated database read and modification via crafted admin_id
Published Sep 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Simple Membership System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute attacker-controlled SQL via admin_id. The account_edit_query.php handler accepts crafted admin_id input that changes the database command it executes instead of neutralizing SQL metacharacters. Access to the account-editing request is required, and successful exploitation permits membership database data to be read or modified.
