Improper response validation in Siemens SINEC INS before 1.0 SP2 Update 2 allows remote attackers to crash the service via a UMC server. The UMC integration accepts a response from the configured UMC server without correctly validating exceptional or malformed response conditions. Exploitation requires control of a configured malicious UMC server or manipulation of a legitimate server's traffic; the reported consequence is a service crash.
