CVE-2023-48429Network attack vector

Admin-triggered server crash via Web UI length check

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026

Improper input validation in Siemens SINEC INS before V1.0 SP2 Update 2 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server via the Web UI. The Web UI fails to check parameter lengths in certain conditions, so a malicious administrator can send a crafted request that causes the server to crash and automatically restart. The request requires administrator privileges and produces a service interruption without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
