Local information disclosure via unchecked buffer bounds
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Exynos RIL on affected Google Android Pixel devices allows local users to disclose memory without interaction. The Init routine in protocolnetadapter.cpp reads beyond a buffer because it does not verify bounds before accessing supplied data. A local low-privileged process can reach the flaw without additional execution privileges; the reported impact is limited to information disclosure.
