Authenticated command execution via special-character filtering
Published Dec 15, 2023 · Updated May 21, 2025
OS command injection in Softnext Mail SQR Expert 230330 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands. TWCERT has not identified the affected function or special character, but states that the function insufficiently filters that character before command execution. Reachability requires local-host authentication and user interaction; successful injection permits arbitrary command execution, system manipulation, or service disruption.
